Dishwasher development history

Apr 16, 2022|

The first patent for machine dishwashing appeared in 1850, owned by Joel Houghton, who invented the manual dishwasher.

In 1929, the German company Miele produced the first electric household dishwasher in Europe, but his appearance was still a relatively simple "machine" and was not closely related to the overall family environment.

In 1954, GE Company of the United States produced the first electric desktop dishwasher, which not only improved the washing performance, but also improved the size and shape of the whole machine.

The earliest research on dishwashers in Asia was Japan. By the mid-to-late 1990s, Japan had developed a microcomputer fully automatic desktop dishwasher.

At the same time, Europe and the United States have developed household dishwashers into kitchen appliances with a unified image.
